The Turn Back Crime campaign scores again as Italian football club Juventus joins the team. The Italian Serie A champions are backing the campaign to encourage their millions of fans worldwide to be aware of the dangers of all types of organized crime, the effects on day-to-day lives, and how they can take action. Team captain Gianluigi Buffon, Patrice Evra, Stephan Lichsteiner and Giorgio Chiellini filmed their message of support at the Juventus stadium in Turin. The Juventus players are helping INTERPOL raise awareness of issues such as the dangers of illegal gambling. Football fans may not be aware that if they place their bets through unregulated channels their money could in fact end up financing a range of serious crimes, including trafficking in human beings. The Turn Back Crime campaign is about breaking down barriers between police and public; creating a dialogue to build a relationship of trust; an inclusive approach to help people feel safe and to help reduce the fear of any form of crime.
